My Food Tours take you off the tourist itineraries and give you the opportunity to get to know the real Roman cuisine, its history and try some of the best dishes in Rome.
A) TESTACCIO MARKET
The heart of the typical districts of rome. breakfast with breakfast and brioche. immediately after we go to the testaccio market home to the street food stalls and taste buffalo mozzarella, ricotta cheese, pecorino romano and other local cheeses, ham, porchetta di ariccia and seasonal fruit. we will visit the cemetery of the artists, where you can breathe a ‘fairy-tale atmosphere- in a historic tavern, we will enjoy the best amatriciana of rome and other dishes of roman cuisine, of course accompanied by an excellent glass of red wine.
B) STREET – FOOD – TRASTEVERE
We start with the typical roman breakfast brioche and cappuccino. then we will head towards the san cosimato street food market. we will taste truffles, ham, pork, cold cuts, pecorino romano, buffalo mozzarella, ricotta, many qualities of oils, honey, jams, many varieties of bread we will cross the magical tiber island and enter a historic biscuit factory, where we will enjoy some magnificent homemade cakes.
We will walk to piazza santa maria in trastevere with the beautiful basilica built in the third century bc. in the old oven “la renella”, we will learn how to cook pizza and supplì. in a typical trasteverino ‘s restaurant we will eat various types of traditional roman pasta accompanied by excellentl local wine. we will end the tour with a homemade ice cream that will delight your palate.
C) STREET – FOOD – CAMPODIFIORI’S – AREA
Area breakfast at p.zza farnese one of the most beautiful squares in rome.
- Let’s start with the typical breakfast cappuccino and cornetto.
- We wander in the oldest market in the capital the ” campo di fiori’s market” here you can taste all the roman specialties that we will taste together with the first of season. then we will sit in one of the top wine bars in rome where you will be prepared in the dish with homemade ham and cheese trays from all regions of italy , all accompanied with a good glass of red wine.
- We will finish the tour with an excellent homemade ice cream.
